The Izote is the national flower of El Salvador. Through my work and practice, I aim to honor my heritage and ancestors.
I came to birth work through my background in community organizing in immigration justice and reproductive justice spaces in my home state of Texas. I carry deep lessons from movement work and believe strongly in supporting people in accessing freedom, autonomy, and collective care through pregnancy and into the postpartum period.
I am always learning and growing alongside those I support. My role is not to have all the answers - rather to act as a guide and an anchor, fostering empowerment through information sharing and reflection, and helping you tap into your autonomy to come to your own best decisions. I believe deeply that care is collective. I am honored to have a deep mentorship network of experienced mentors and colleagues who enrich my practice and hold me accountable as a birth worker. Uplifted by my community, I am called to bring fullness of intention and loving attentive detail to working with your family.
